Brand - This is an unsigned Sphinx brooch. Stamped with the design number 163. An early design. There isn't a sphinx signature on the brooch which was common as they designed jewellery for other companies and left them blank so they could add their name/stamp. The numbers 163 are rather haphazard in their placement which was a feature of Sphinx numbers.
Condition - Good vintage condition.
This lovely vintage brooch is made from a gold tone base metal and i believe to be gold plated after looking at other ones listed for sale.
A stylised leaf shape with ribbed design in the metal.
Set with one large faux pearl bead.
Fastens to the back with a pin and roll over safety clasp.
Measures 6cm in length.
