Condition - great vintage condition.
Has been freshly laundered so is ready to wear.
David Silverman was a fashion designer in the 50's and 60's whose business was based in London's garment district at Great Titchfield Street. His first business was called Marlborough Dresses which he then followed up with David Silverman Dresses. Of which this lovely dress is one. He passed away when he was only 44.
Made from 100% cotton this pretty designer dress can be worn as a smock or tied with the matching belt. There are no belt loops so it the belt just sits on the waist.
It is a lovely cream, brown & sage green floral print. I think it is likely a Liberty print.
It has a pretty cream lace collar, cuffs and hemline.
With a small tie to the front of the neck and slips on over the head.
It has short sleeves with elasticated lace trim cuffs.
With vertical pleating to the front of the bodice.
It is below knee length and unlined.
With concealed side pockets.
A pretty boho prairie style dress.
