Vintage 1970s approx UK size 12-14 homemade red & purple hand painted bird print kaftan.
Brand - Homemade.
Condition - Good vintage condition apart from there is one small hole to the back of the left sleeve - see close up pics.
Has been freshly laundered so is ready to wear.
The kaftan has been homemade from a red raw silk.
With a beautiful hand painted bird pattern in purple.
It has a v-neckline and fastens to the front of the bodice with five fabric covered buttons. There are three other buttons to the front of the waist, and, these are mock buttons and don't actually fasten anything up.
It has a white slightly elasticated waist tie to the inside which gives the waist some shape. It fastens with a hook fastening. If worn with the waist tie fastened then it will fit size 12-14. If worn without it fastened it would fit up to size 18.
With short very wide sleeves.
It is maxi in length and unlined.
A really beautiful piece with a stunning hand painted print.
