Vintage Late 1970s Leonard Paris/J. Leonard & Cie UK Size 14 Black Blueish Grey & Pink Floral Print Pleated Long Sleeve Dress

Condition - Good vintage condition. The pleats are not quite as prominent as they would have once been.

This lovely dress is made from Leonard fabric. Jacques Leonard was a French fashion designer, based in Paris. His company was established in 1958. As well as his own couture Label, Leonard Paris and Leonard Fashion Paris, he designed fabric for other labels to use under the name J.Leonard et Cie which means Leonard & Co. Many of the power houses of couture partnered up with Leonard to produce their designs in his beautiful fabric and he was always credited on their garments with is own label. The fabric used on these dresses weren't signed Leonard like his own garments were so don't command as high of a price tag. 

This lovely vintage dress is made from a silk jersey feel fabric. It is actually 73% triacetate & 27% polyamide. 

It is black with a blueish grey & pink floral print. 

It has a collared v-neckline and buttons down the front of the dress to the waist. With a couple of press studs to keep it closed in between buttons. 

It has long sleeves with elasticated cuffs. 

The bodice is slightly oversized in relation to the waist. 

Fastening to the side of the dress with a zip.

It has belt loops at the waist for the addition of your own belt if required. 

With a pleated mid length skirt that is lined.
