Returns
We do accept returns, for a refund, exchange or credit note. We accept returns in accordance with your statutory rights and the terms set out below. Where you exercise your legal right to cancel within the statutory time limits, you will receive a refund. Returns requested outside these time limits may, at our discretion, be eligible for an exchange or credit note.
If you decide that you would like to return something to us for any reason, you must let us know within 14 days of receipt of the item that you wish to return. You can let us know via the contact us section in the main menu of this website.
The item must then be received back with us within another 14 days. Giving you a MAX 30 days in total to return the item. After 30 days has passed we are under no obligation to refund, exchange or issue a credit note. You as the buyer are responsible for return postage costs.
All returns should be sent back unworn with our Secret Parlour tag still attached, if there was one on the garment. (My tag gun is very temperamental!)
I would politely ask that you please consider how difficult returns can be for small businesses before you ask to return something. They are often the number one reason small businesses fail. Instead of returning, could you possibly re-sell it yourself? Or gift it to a friend of family member? Cash flow can be very tight for a small business and, an influx of returns can sometimes mean the difference between being able to buy stock, or, pay ourselves a wage. We don't have the cash reserves of the big brands or high street chains. I will never not accept something you want to return, but please just bear in mind how challenging it can be.
We aim to ship all orders out within 48 hours, but often it is next day.
We reserve the right to cancel any orders not yet shipped. In the rare instance that there has been a pricing error and the price is a "genuine and honest mistake that you, as the customer should have noticed," then we have the right to cancel, as a contract is only formed once we have shipped the item.
Right to Cancel
If you purchase from our website as a consumer, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us within this 14-day period by sending a clear statement that you wish to cancel your order. You can do this by using the Contact Us page on our website or by emailing us at thesecretparlour@hotmail.co.uk
Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel, you must return the item(s) to us within 14 days.
Returned items must be:
Unworn and unused.
In their original condition.
With any original tags still attached (where applicable).
You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless the item is faulty or we have sent you the wrong item.
Once we have received the returned goods (or satisfactory evidence that they have been sent), we will process any refund due within 14 days, using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
This right to cancel does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
Shipping
All UK orders are sent via tracked 48 or second class signed for. Please contact us via the contact us page if you would like your order sent another way. All UK orders over £50 are shipped free of charge.
International customers please note that you are responsible for any taxes and customs charges due in your own country and most times there will be something to pay. Please be aware of this before ordering.
We aim to ship all orders within 48 hours of purchase.
