Condition - good vintage condition.
This pendant & necklace is a lovely bit of Australian rustic art.
The pendant is a handcrafted paperbark miniature set in a gold tone frame underneath a plastic dome.
It depicts two Xanthorrhoea trees, native to Australia. Until the early 2000's they were named something else which is now deemed to be racist and offensive and unfortunately this is what the artist has named this piece on the back. Of its time, this is what they were commonly known as.
It comes with a gold tone necklace that fastens to the back with a spring ring clasp. Not sure that this is original to the pendant as it doesn't feel like it has the same age to it as the pendant.
The pendant measures 5cm x 4cm and the necklace has a drop of 30cm.
