Brand - Aristos Of London. Carnaby Street

Condition - good vintage condition.

Has been freshly laundered so is ready to wear.

The label on this dress dates it to the late 1960s because from 1971 onwards the label changed to designed by Aristos. 

Aristos Constantinou opened his Aristos boutique on Carnaby Street in 1966. From 1971 his brother joined forces with him and they became Ariella Fashions. An amalgamation of both the brothers names. Aristos & Achilleas. In the 1970s Punch magazine called them "the power of Carnaby Street". Their success led them to supply their clothes, wholesale, to other retailers. They won many fashion awards in the 80s & 90s and after Aristos died Achilleas went on to found the British Fashion Council and other important organisations. 

This gorgeous vintage occasion maxi dress is made from a black bronze & green lurex stripe polyester fabric. 

It has round neckline to the front of the dress and it fastens to the back of the neck with halterneck tie fastenings.

It has an open back and fastens to the rear with a metal zip and hook. 

It is maxi in length and unlined. 

With a bias cut tiered hemline. 

Perfect for party season.
