Brand - Edith Flagg. California
Condition - Good vintage condition.
Has been freshly laundered so is ready to wear.
This lovely vintage day dress is made from 100% polyester in peacock blue.
Edith Flagg was a Romanian immigrant to the United States, starting her dress business in Los Angeles in 1957. Her tag line was "dresses for the average American Woman" and was a mid-priced line.
In 2008, she appeared on Million Dollar Listing which was a television reality show that starred her Grandson. Through this programme she became something of a Pop Culture heroine as she appeared on the programme giving her grandson business advice. She passed away in 2014.
The dress has a round neckline and slips on over the head. With a small tie fastening to the front of the neck.
With vertical pleating to the front of the bodice.
It has long sleeves with elasticated cuffs.
It has an elasticated waist.
With a mid length flared swingy skirt that is unlined.
A lovely transitional piece as it isn't a heavy dress.
It is labelled as a US size 18 but I think best fit is closer to size 16.
Please note that the dress is being shown pinned to fit the mannequin.
Vintage sizes often come up smaller than modern day sizes. For this reason we measure each of our garments and estimate the modern day size of it based on today's fashion industry standards.
Chest - 44"
Waist - up to 38"
Hips - Free
Length - 47" shoulder to hem

For our international customers: Please be aware that you are responsible for any import duty, VAT and other taxes that might be applied in your country, so please research this before purchasing.
This now includes our American customers with the removal of the "de minimis" exemption from the 29th August. A tariff of 10% is due on items arriving from the UK. (If items are made in other countries a higher tariff applies, but, 99% of my items are made in the UK) To make things simple I will collect the tariff fee through a small increase in shipping costs on American orders and pay it on your behalf. This should mean your parcels arrive as normal without delay at customs.
