Vintage Early 1960s FREDERICK STARKE UK Size 12 Black Bow Detail Mod Shift Dress

Condition - Great vintage condition.
This sought after label is becoming harder to find these days.
Frederick Starke started his own fashion line in the late 1920s. After WW2 he based himself in Bruton street, an exclusive area of London, where he had his retail showroom. He designs were also sold through Liberty of London and he designed for Honor Blackman in the 60's when she was in The Avengers.
This classic black 60s mod dress is from the early 60's. It is made from a black raw silk type fabric.
It has a round neckline and is sleeveless.
Fastening to the back of the dress with a metal zip and hook.
The dress is below knee length, shift in style and lined.
With two bows to the front of the skirt and an overlay panel to the front.
A really lovely classic 1960's dress by a great designer.
